Pregnant Woman Who Was Raped Gets Abducted And Gang Raped By Three Men She Approached For Help
Police have launched a manhunt after a 25-year-old pregnant woman was raped before being abducted and gang-raped by three other men who she went to for help.
The woman, who is three months pregnant, had travelled to the Omonia neighbourhood of Athens in Greece to get her phone fixed.
She was approached by an Afghan man who took her into a darkened area and raped her, local reports said.
The expectant mother then asked three Pakistani men for help. They called a cab and took her to an underground flat in the nearby Agios Panteleimon area where they gang-raped her.
Her screams were heard by neighbours who went onto their balconies to shout across to each other and ask what was going on. The trio, fearing the suspicions of their neighbours, let the victim leave.
But she went straight to the police who arrived back at the apartment later to arrest three suspects aged 19, 21 and 27. They have been charged.
However, the fourth man - who first raped the woman - remains at large.
Police have gathered DNA evidence from the victim's underwear and clothes and hope it can help track the attacker down - as well as prove the guilt of the trio who later raped her in the flat.
