Zero Winners As Cavani Makes Manchester United Debut In Goalless Match Against Chelsea

Two Premier League heavyweights collided in today's teatime clash at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United look to have turned a corner over the past week after a difficult start to the new season, with a 4-1 win at Newcastle followed by Marcus Rashford's late heroics in Paris.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is desperately trying to strike the right balance between defence and attack with a six-goal thriller against Southampton followed by a stalemate versus Sevilla.

Edison Cavani made his Manchester United debut but was unable to prevent them drawing a blank against Chelsea.

The Uruguayn fired just wide with his first touch while Marcus Rashford went close late on.

And down the other end Chelsea felt they should have had a penalty when Harry Maguire held Cesar Azpilicueta down.

But ultimately nobody could argue the goalless draw wasn't a fair result.
