"You Lack Respect" - Area Twitter, Blackface Blast Wizkid Over Comment To Buhari
Nigeria's Starboy, Wizkid, has come under fire for the comment he made on President Buhari’s post wishing America's Donald Trump a speedy recovery after the latter tested positive for COVID-19.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Buhari wrote "I wish US President, Donald Trump And his wife Melania a quick and full recovery from COVID-19".
This post of his caused a lot of outrage amongst Nigerians because at that moment the tag #ENDSARS was trending after officers of FSARS killed a man and drove off in his Lexus SUV.
Amongst those to speak out against the perceived insensitivity of the president was musian Wizkid who wrote "Donald Trump is not your business old man! Police/SARS still killing Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern u for America! Face your country!!"
This post by Wizkid who normally isn't this vocal on social media led to many applauding him but former Plantashun Boys member Blackface and Arewa Twitter have slammed Wizkid for being "disrespectful"
